In-Home Dog Training Lessons

Private training lessons held in your home are tailored to meet your goals and training needs.  This is a great option for owners that can't make it to a group class, have a dog that may be ill, has fear/behavior issues, or learn better with private, personalized instruction.   All lessons will require a deposit.

Private lessons are scheduled on Wednesday morning/afternoon, Friday all day, Saturday mid afternoon, Sunday all day.​

Puppy Training for the Newbie

Everyone
A 1-hour lesson held in your home.  This is ideal for the new puppy owner.  Lesson can take place before the puppy arrives.  Together we will puppy-proof your home, discuss schedule, potty training (housebreaking), crate training and socialization. Subsequent lessons will include your new puppy as an active participant. 
Training will cover basic manners, puppy socialization, and preventing future problem behaviors.  If you have children, a lesson will be tailored to help them understand the puppy's needs and how they can bond with their new canine companion in an appropriate way.
Puppy age - 8 - 20 weeks

A 1-hour lesson held in your home.  This is ideal for the experienced dog owner but it's been some time since you've heard the pitter patter of little paws.  Together we will revisit the basics of raising a well-rounded puppy.  Topics covered will be tailored to the puppy owner's experience.  Training will cover basic manners, puppy socialization and mental enrichment.  If your puppy is already in your home this is the choice for you, too!  
Puppy age - 8 weeks - 6 months

A 1- hour lesson held in your home.  This is appropriate for the young, older or newly adopted dog, that requires some help with basic manners and does not involve serious behavior issues.   A session can address skills such as wait, leave-it, stay; as well as manners at the door to the food bowl, jumping and loose-leash walking.  Remember, everyone loves a well-mannered dog!     
Dog age - 7 months and up

Customized Dog Training for
Behavior Improvement
​Some dog behaviors seem manageable at first, until you notice your dog is no longer behaving or responding the way you want.  It's time to seek help.  Number of lessons required will be determined by your needs and your dog's behavior problem(s).   Training methodology used is humane for the dog and kind for human. 
First lesson/consult is 2-hours in length.  Lesson Fee:  $250 
Subsequent lessons may be shorter in duration and the Fee will be adjusted.

Virtual Dog Training

You may wonder if virtual (live) dog training is a viable option?  Dog training really is about people training.  Thanks to modern technology, I can help you train your dog.  Booking a virtual dog training lesson is a great option for those that have a limited window of availability or may have a dog that becomes very stressed when new people are in the home.  Puppy and Adult dog training is available.  You will need a computer with a webcam & microphone, or smartphone or tablet.

One 45-minute, Virtual Visit using Google Meet or Zoom Video platform.  Virtual visits can be combined with in-person lessons.  It is a great way to get started with training before a puppy or newly adopted dog arrives.   

Fee:  $80 – PayPal or Venmo must be received before the start of each lesson.

It is a great time to work on your dog's AKC Trick Dog Title!  Titles are available from Novice to Elite Performer.  We can do a "Live" test where I will be able to record and evaluate your trick dog performance for final submission to the AKC.  Or you can submit your videos to me.
